Interaction between Asus ChromaTune and a i1Display Studio calibrated Asus monitor?

I have an Asus PA278QV monitor and am using the Xrite i1Display Studio to calibrate. I know that I can use the Asus ChromaTune, but I don't know how it interacts with an already calibrated monitor. I have read the CT instructions (https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1043152/), but I found it confusing. So, I'd appreciate a simpler explanation. Thanks.

I can't speak to ChromaTune in particular, but I've seen other makers color control utilities override my Colormunki Display's settings in Windows at least. I've had to remove such utilities to get a proper calibration/profiling to endure. In fact, I've developed the habit of clean-installing Windows whenever I get a new laptop, thus removing all the OEM utlilities and later adding back any that I specifically want.

Yeah, the ChromaTune is an interesting approach, but I do agree with you that it is probably best that just do my calibrations and forget about using ChromeTune
