Retired, live in South East USA. Shot everything from 35mm to 8x10. Digital Fuji x and SLR Canons now. Still have Contax G2 with 5-6 lenses and Nikon SLR film. 3 Coffee Table books, 1 how to book, founder of MPW workshops. More but don't want to bore everybody. Spend part of my time now playing golf, drinking fine wine, and of course, doing photography!!!

Hi Cje!

welcome at Camera-info.com. It is always nice to see some Contax users again. I miss that time....

The old Contaxinfo.com forum is imported here with all of its content. So in case you want to research there a bit, feel free. Which Contax lenses do you still use?

OK - will bring u up to date - Contax G2, 28, 45, 35, 90, and 16-35mm lenses. Fuji x-e1, 18-35, 55-200, 10-24, 50-140, 1.4 converter. Canon 5d Mk III, 16-35 2.8, 70-200 II 2.8, Tamron 28-70 2.8 (one of sharpest lens I have ever had - got lucky!), Tamron 28-300, 1.4 xtender, Nikkor 5D and 6D 62mm thread lenses (yes, lenses) for close-ups (if you have not tried it you need to), Canon close-up lens 500D, and a DHG Achromat Macro 200(+S) both 77mm thread for macro on large lens threads 72mm and up. Aside from the usual filters, cable releases, etc. that about covers it. Am vacillating between the Canon and Fuji mirrorless system and have not made a decision whether to get rid of one system or the other, or keep them both. Whatever I keep, I would get a new camera body for one or both to have what I need when in the field. Need to get to 20x24 and up for printing some images on my Epson printer (have 2 professional Epson printers for printing archival prints). That about covers it - not as active as years ago, retired as I mentioned in first post, but do shoot occasional assignment as well as for my own personal satisfaction. Some shows but not like years ago - and you have to be lucky, willing to chase it, or be dead before any real money can be made in the gallery scene which means recognition comes late in life for most of us.
