lens help

Hi there,
I have a nikon d50 at the moment which is a ok camera to learn off but i would love to get a 35mm (d700). I have one lens for d50 which is 50mm f1.8d. My questioned is can i use this on a 35mm dslr?
I was reading to stay away from dx lenses if i was to get a 35mm dslr.
What type of lens should i look at for...

Hey chad,
you can use the 50/1,8 on the D700. My father use the lense on his D3, I'm using it on my D200, it is an brilliant lense!
