The guy on the far left is sporting a Nikon.

You caught that, too. This photo was taken several years ago. At that time, at least in this area of Tokyo, you could see more people carrying around Nikon cameras. One reason was because of the Nikon Showroom, Gallery, and Service Center which was located not too far away on foot.
