The section of the Atlantic coast of the USA, from Charleston down to the Georgia border, is known as the South Carolina Lowcountry. It's a flat, relatively undeveloped land of estuaries, salt marsh and maritime forest. Here are a few shots taken in a local Wildlife Management Area last week.
