M8 What is the noise after the shutter closes

Greetings:

I am curious about the noise after the shutter closes on a M8. Is it resetting the shutter, it almost sounds like a film winder?

Thanks:

Gilbert

Gilbert, that noise is the shutter winding motor. Remember, there is no film winding lever as on the other M Leicas.

Thanks

I know it is not a film winder. I wrote that because it nearly sounds like one and it occurs after the shutter closes.

Gilbert
