Interestingly their eyes change from pale yellow when young to fierce red at maturity.

Stary, stary night. Night hawk fed, red and bright. A bird near to fly. Not a bird to be blown away or more.
 
Ok, because a place that I shot my guns at produced a beautiful hawk. With my Super Zoom as they say, I got a shot of that same hawk. The next time I saw it, it was on the ground trampled. Eh, life.
