New 2.8 Lenses Being Introduced?

I live in NJ and have been considering the AFS 70-200 F2.8 VR lenses. Did anyone else noticed that Bergen County Camera (Westwood, NJ), B&H Photo (NYC), Adorama (NYC), Helix Camera (Chicago, IL), and Ritz Camera (online) all indicate the lenses is not available?

Is Nikon depleting its dealer-level inventories ahead of a new introduction?....

Hi read your post with interest as we have been in the same position here in the U.K.
It appears this lens has been in short supply for some time, and from talking to my local Nikon dealer is partly due to high demand.
It really is a cracking lens.
I have had mine for a couple of years now and it was in very short supply even back then.
A number of people have tried to persuade me to sell mine.
