Hello! I just bought my first Hasselblad lens in 25 years, the single coated 100/3.5. I'll be using it in the classic form, on film.

In the 1980's and early '90's I shot professionally with Hasselblads. Just getting back to them now with a 500cm and 100/3.5 to start.

Great to see a good Hasselblad forum here!

I'll post some images soon.

I am a pro based in Portland, OR

Hello Kram,

Welcome here at Hasselblad forum.

You got an excellent start with the 500 CM and especially the 100/3.5 lens.
That lens belongs to the best designs ever made by Carl Zeiss together with the legendary Biogon.

Thanks Paul. I bought a 120/5.6 S-Planar Makro yesterday as it was too cheap to say no.

I don't have much coverage 100-120mm! Thusfar, I've only shot a test roll with each. Both look superb.

On the contrary!

With the 100 mm Planar and the 120 mm S-Planar you have the best covering for all objects being either in the macro or close range up to 1- 1,5 m with the S-Planar and anything from 1,5 m till infinity with the 100 mm.

Haha! Yes, you make a very good point! My test roll showed that the 120mm was very sharp wide open!

Here are some sample images of my 120/5.6 *T wide open (hand held at 1/125th). The second is a 100% crop. No sharpening! This may be the sharpest lens I've ever owned!
