Also on Tuesday, I visited the Olympus booth. They showed really nice images dispaying on the walls. Everywhere was advertisement for the announced EM1 MkII. But you could not get it in your hands just like that and I had no time anymore for a direct meeting behind the curtain...
What they told me is that AF speed shall be significantly improved. But without seeing it with my own eyes, I would be caustios with these statements.
What you could easily see is that Olympus is very smart in marketing its different products. IMHO they are the most advanced if it comes to sell similar products in different design for different target groups. I like that a lot, since you can really choose what you like teh most. Image quality is more or less the same with all new models for the mainstream photography and normal print size.
I am sure that other brands will follow this route and adapt their products in the futuire even more to "fit" the design taste for each worthwile target group. At this Photokina you could see, that the product "camera" as a "tool only" is over.
