OT Zeiss Ikon

The last picture is also for the ZM Planar at f2.

Of course, it might be difficult to judge from web images how these two systems compare to each other. My ZM 50 2 MP consistently produces images with clearer subjects. It could be due to the fact that the G is less accurate in focusing at f2. It could also be due to the fact that the electronic shutter of G produces more vibrations. Thirdly, the new ZM Planar is just sharper at f2. ZM Planar also produces more contrast between brightness and darkness.

Lastly, which has a better bokeh, ZM or the G ? I wil come back on this.

Joseph, Thanks for sharing the info and pics. I am impressed. Can we see some f/4 s&le of each lens if not too much trouble.

Yes,I will scan more images later. Does anyone agree that the Bokeh of the new Zeiss at f2 is better than G45 2 at 2 ? This time I am talking about images and not MTFs.

I am showing you my Zeiss Planar of M mount 50 2 for selling it because I have two of these. This lens is mint. I brought it for testing and fondling.
