Power Plant

Hello,

This is the nuclear power plant across the river. The color of the sky and clouds were very strange that day, (not manipulated in SPP). This looks very close to the time of exposure.

All of those specks between the water level and the horizon are sea gulls.

Close up of the gulls and reactor.

I gather the bulk of the reactor facilities are below and blocked from view by the rise of the river's far shore. You do have a clear view of the top of the cooling tower.

Nice sky colors.

Hi Steaphany,

Thank you for the nice comments on the sky color! I am away on vacation for another week, but did want to respond to your question.

Travelling about one hour south, both shores are closer and it is possible to produce pictures with elements showing the characteristics of the plant. I am planning a trip with the SD14 during this summer and will be able to post some detailed photos.

The current photo is shot from the park located three miles from my home.

Are there any nuclear power plants close to your home?

Good luck with your pictures.

Robert

Sorry, there are no close by nuclear power plants.

The best that I can do is a lake side, I believe - natural gas fueled, plant which might be a good subject. I'll see what I can do.
