I was amused/disturbed/concerned but not really surprised, I suppose that on taking films to a well known processing lab recently and requesting them to develop them only, they didn't know what I meant by develop. The negatives turned out OK in fact so no harm done but the staff are simply machine operators with little or no photographic knowledge. The counter staff seem to have no photographic knowledge at all and if you ask for anything beyond their standard packages, they are conflummoxed.
The system works though.
