After receiving my first SLR camera (Elan 7)a few weeks ago, I have now purchased my first tripod. I am very much looking forward to exploring/recording the world around me with my new equipment.
I purchased this tripod as my not so far off the beaten path tripod as it weighs 7+ pounds. Before I go hiking in the Smoky Mountains this Summer I will probably be buying a lighter weight model. Any suggestions?
