Either those buildings are not plumb or there is some weird barrel distortion going on there.

Not only optical distortions, but in fact wooden buildings from the 15th and 16th century are not exactly preserved in a perfect vertical form.
 
Great images from a favorite lens I don't have... :) And such history...
 
Those are just great, thanks for sharing
 
Nice images, particularly the last two. I don't see anything I'd call barrel distortion in them, however.
