Sony Starvis vs Starvis 2

I have a Thinkware U1000 Dashcam with the Starvis. I now noticed the Thinkware U3000 Dashcam with Starvis 2 as its Sensor. The U3000 also supports 4K video.for the Front Camera. The U1000 supported 2K video for its Front Camera.

How much of a difference is there between Starvis 1 and Starvis 2. Starvis appears to be for Dashcams. It's not in the other Cameras?
