Steel freighter on the Melbourne to Sydney run

This is a Pacific National operated steel train heading north through the regional town of Cootamundra, about mid-way between Melbourne and Sydney.

Yep, they've been doing it for decades and they're still digging.

I watched some videos online recently of the trains operating to and from the iron ore mines over in Western Australia. The scale of those mines is incredible. And the trains are entirely driverless and huge, being 30,000 tons.
