Interesting picture and pleasing processing.
Is this taken a while ago or are masks still widely worn in public in Japan? They are rarely seen in England except the elderly or in hospitals.

It's great when a photographer has such an unusual eye... at the very least it's always interesting to see this kind of work and you can learn a lot from it...

Thank you! The picture was taken a few months ago, I believe. To answer your question, the majority of Japanese today still wear masks regularly. This, however, is not only because of the recent pandemic, but also because the Japanese decades ago wore masks regularly. The Japanese are a polite and considerate people so they do what they can individually not to spread either the cold or flu virus. Also, in spring many people here suffer from hay fever, hence the mask is to protect against the elements.

IT is a pleasure to look at this shot. I love the oncoming wave of pedestrians, and the way the mirrored image makes it look like the crowd is parting around you. The J5 and 18.5 makes a great combo for your street work.

Thank you! I like that aspect as well. It's almost as if the viewer was engulfed by the waves of people on either side.
