Have an Adapted lens that is unusual, rare, or you are Just very Proud of?
The place to "show and Tell"
The Biotar 4cm F1.4 is the first F1.4 lens that I am aware of. 1927, "Lens of Extreme Rapidity".
This lens was given to me in return for some repair services. About 300 made, 50 in the mount that this one was in. Made for 35mm Movie cameras.
I gave it to Chris at Skyllaney. When the Bertele Sonnar was first announced 3 years ago, Chris contacted me to let me know one of the prototypes would have my name on it. I wanted to return the favor, and sent him the Biotar and a 35mm F2 Wollensak Fastax lens. Chris converted both to Leica Mount. I like to think that raising the cash helped them through bad times of Covid. I know he was excited to convert them, and some lucky person owns a usable piece of History. The second lens on the first row to the Left. is this lens converted to M-Mount.
So- the first of my "Show and Tell"
