The Road to Nowhere

Old time road work. They didn't have the wherewithall to scrape down the whole hill. Same thing, kind of, in Arizona. Along the eastern border with MX , formally knows as NM., there is a road. 666. No kidding. When it finally leveled out, I got out of the truck and whopped. Never again. They renamed it 260 or something. Nowhere as nice as this little riding road.

So, what I meant to say is, nice shot.

Ah, yeah. My sister in Law lived in Clifton for a while (she is a Cody, as in B-B). I went there quite a few years ago because I heard it was one of the oldest towns in AZ. I wasn't impressed, but that was my ignorance. Tombstone is a tourist spot. All fake. S.E. AZ is wonderful.

The views above Clifton and North of Morenci are sometimes great, and the mine overlook is also an image rich area.

I was near some mining area when they dumped the hot slag over the cliff. Might have been Superior or Globe or Morenci. Anyway, it was the only time I'd seen "lava" going over a cliff.
