A green label indicates the ability to use the 21 and the 35 (see earlier postings on the topic in the G1 thread). I think, technically, that it's a firmware update, needed because these two lenses weren't part of the original G system on its release. The 21 and 35 come with a certificate from Contax for performing the update to silver-label G1s. (Also note that the G1 can't accommodate the zoom.)
