Using and scanning Kodak Portra 160

Not trolling but I would like to understand the claim "good to scan". Admitedly I am using a V700 as opposed to a drum or neg scanner but how would it make my scanning better. Are we talking about colours or sharpness or both?

As stated by the OP scanning is a black art and so far I am mildly pleased but not overjoyed using Kodak Portra 160NC as opposed to the latest version (which I can't find anywhere, yet).

Scanning is an art that is made easier by using the correct software with settings/profile for specific films.
Some users develop their own settings or fine tune existing software.
