Using and scanning Portra 400NC v 160NC

Those shots are beautiful! Stunning all around; composition, lighting, image qualities...

I just recently shot a bunch of 160VC. Nice film, but a touch grainier than I expected. I can see how the 400NC would be similar. I'm definitely going to have to give it a try. I want to try Ektar in 120 as well and see how that works out.

thanks for posting......you have everything thats great about film in those shots....the flavour you just wont get on digital....the way the blown highlights are totally acceptable........this is very interesting for me to see....the tonality is distinctly NOT Portra....what Im most interested to see is its scanability in comparision......

Here are a couple scans of Ektar 100 I shot last weekend. So far I prefer the Portra, although I'll shoot some more rolls just to make sure.
