Whatbs your opinion G Lenses Sharper Than Medium Format

Now I am surprised. 6x9 is twice as big (by area) than 645, and almost 6 times larger than 135, but then if your work was exhibit quality you couldn't have got it wrong on printing and technique. I don't believe Contax lenses are THAT much better than Fujinon lenses either. So it's the film ?

Photodo has a pretty good article on "35 mm, medium format, or large format?" which discusses the pro's and con's of the various film sizes. Their conclusion is that 35 mm images can be almost as sharp as large format if taken correctly and the right film is used. Article includes MTF graphs, etc.
