What's your go-bag look like?

Excellent Thread.
Many are curious what others have, myself included. I havent been down the "backpack" road yet but I will some day. For now I like my shoulder strap with the bag under my arm. Inside this bag you see a 7DII, 70D, EF100-400 II, 10-18 EFS, and 18-135mm EFS. Sometimes my Flash and SP 150-600 ride in a different bag if I need them. The bag is a discontinued Canon. Maybe the Professional 1EG. I see them on e-bay yet.
Thanks for starting this thread, I am sure it will be popular.

Very nice . Two cameras three lenses , lovely . But I can't carry that anymore . After half an hour , I would have big trouble in my shoulder and my neck .
I am looking for a small backpack , one camera two lenses . Any idea ? ? Tamrac Loewepro . The ones I found up to now are all bigger than what I want .

Small sling type bag just big enough for E-M5 Mk iii with Oly 12-200mm lens, Sennheiser MKE200 mic, Mini Tripod, Powerbank, various accessories (cables, SD cards and reader, etc), iPad Mini.

There is a reason why backpack camera bags are so popular. They just work for most people. Don't buy until you find that perfect bag. Happy shopping.

Thanks for the reply. I am the odd one liking a large shoulder bag. Backpacks are more ergonomically easy on the body. Shop wisely don't settle until you find that right bag. Keep it fun.

Very cool. Looks like a really good telescope, very interesting to say the least. Please fill us in on some details. Thanks for posting.

That's a Canon 5D hooked to a Celestron Edge HD 11 on an Atlas Pro mount.
Since this thread is about bags and storage anyhow, now I am curious how you would transport this behemoth. Is there a special bag or case for it?

No. It's actually about 6 pieces when broken down. And about 100 pounds including counterweights.

My usual bag is a ThinkTank ChangeUp with lenses chosen for what I'm doing that day. Going to a cave and going to an air show require entirely different equipment. I suppose my most common setup is a 7D Mark II with 8-15/4L, 18-135USM, 50/1.8, and either 55-250 or 70-200/2.8 plus an optional 18-35/1.8, 2x teleconverter, or 10-18. But I might add a 150-600 or drop the 18-35 for example depending of whether I need "reach" or low-light performance.

If you won't need to swap lenses a lot, backpack should be the best to carry gear around, in a more comfortable manner than sling/messenger/shoulder bag.

However if you would swap lens a lot and very frequent, backpack would not be your best option.

I have a few backpack style camera bags, 4 to be exact if the usual hiking backpack w/ camera insert be excluded. They are in different size for different purpose/event. However as I am using a 3 lenses setup (an ultra wide zoom, a standardvwalking around 35-70 and a long zoom), I swap lenses a lot. If I would carry a backpack (for various reasons), I have to carry an extra small shoulder bag (good to carry 2 lenses) for my lenses swapping.

My 2 cents.
