Which lens should i buy

I haven't used the Tri Elmar before. One of the reasons for using a Lecia M camera is its vibration free shuuter ( without the reflex mirror) combining with its large &erature lenses, the system becomes a very powerful tool to take picutres in almost any lighting condition. There are small different in the quality of ISO100 and ISO 400 film in nowadays, but you can still find the diffrence. Try to use ISO64 and compare it with ISO400.

Dear Ken,

To use the 90mm lenses on a 0.72 viewfinder camera try the Viewfinder Magnifier.

All the best.

Justin

Hi Justin: You know, I tried the magnifier and returned it to Rich at Photovillage ( a really great guy with impecable honesty and service ) within a day. I thought the magnifier was vastly over rated, and addded very little to my viewing ability. Of course, just one person's opinion, and obviously others have an entirely different view ( sorry for the intended pun! ).

Dear Ken,

Beauty is in the eyes of beholders! Imagine that I run a 2nd hand shop and I have a lot of 2nd hand lenses available, how I suppose to sell them when so many new lenses are available.Of course I need to say that they are good and even better. I also think that that they make a lots of money from 2nd hand lenses, just try to sell one of your lens and see how much they offers.

I use two M6 TTL and I was nearly tempted to buy a M3 because it is the best M cameras according to someone's advise. When I try one in the shop, there are just different cameras, M3 is not a better camera than M6, in my opinion.

Photography is an art, there are no absolute measure for bad or good, just try to enjoy it.

Dear Vincent,

After doing more research, I would have to agree with your analysis on the behavior of these shop owners. I agree that logically advancement in technology would only improve the lens' performance further. And to Dr. Puritz, thanks for your reinforced statement on the Tri-Elmar. I am ready to take the plunge and get the Tri-Elmar, 90 Summicron and 35 Summilux after new year.

Regards,
Ken

Hi Ken,

Make sure you get the second version for the
Tri-Elmar.
For non-dealer products, buy from Keung Kee,
it is cheaper there, otherewise buy from Man Shing
for authorized products.

Paul
n.b. Let me knowe if you need the address.

Hi Paul,

I am aware of the difference between the two versions and will definitely get the latest one. I have been looking around for grey market goods and have already compared prices at Tin Cheung and Salon. I don't know about Keung Kee, but would appreciate if you can feed me more information. Thanks.

Regards,
Ken

Hi Ken,
It is inside Far East Mansion, you have to look
and find it, I was there two weeks ago and a lady
quoted a M7 for $13500. They do carry a lot of stock and they are in the same trade as Salon.
Goodluck,
Paul
