The DSLR really is coming. Got this from Minolta 5 mins ago.
Dear Minolta User,
Thank you for your interest in a Minolta Dynax Digital SLR. You have
previously contacted us in regards to this product class. As we did not
have a product to inform you of at that time we have registered your
details, in preparation to contact you when we did.
Now that time has arrived.
In a few days the PMA (Photo Marketing Association) annual show will open.
The location this year will be Las Vegas. This is an important event within
the photographic industry and is often used to launch new products. In
recent years Minolta has used it to unveil numerous models including the
DiMAGE 7.
This will be the first international show where the new Konica Minolta
brand will be present. This is an ideal opportunity to show the vision and
direction of the new company.
The embargo of these new products will be lifted on 11th February 21:00
CEST. As Las Vegas is eight hours behind the UK this translates as 12th
February 05:00 here.
With the speed of the Internet official information will begin to appear
almost immediately. Please look to these websites to have details published
first.

Konica Minolta is also going to host information on these products. We are

This is a registration based website for users of Konica Minolta products.
Please ensure you register ahead of time. It is also from this website that
you will gain updated information as it becomes available.
I don't know that I will be up at 5am to find out the details.
But given that the new A2 CCD is 8 then the DSLR will surely be a minimum of 10 and may even trump the Canon and go for 13.
Looks like Minolta finally woke up and smelt the pixels.
