It looks like I'll be hearing the pitter-patter (and squawking) of baby night herons after all again this year. After the male showed up alone last Thursday, displayed for a while and left, the pair returned together Saturday and have been busily renovating last year's nest. As you can see in the last shot, I was so excited to see them return that I went out in the pouring rain!
