A Hummer from last Summer

Here's one of mine, more of an environmental image. I like to see them in their natural habitat.

Thanks for sharing the EXIF data.
Craig - I don't know what browser you're using but you might consider pulling exify which does a very nice job of showing the exif from photos that have it. Works well.

Those are beautiful Joe and something I wish we had in this country. If we did, I would be in heaven.

I like it. I also prefer to see them in their natural habitat but in all honesty I rarely get any good shots of Hummers that way. All of my Hummer shots are taken from my deck or porch where I have numerous flower pots with feeders in some of them. I try to get shots when they are feeding from the flowers but if not I crop out the feeder.

Thanks. I feel fortunate as I've been fascinated with Humingnbirds all of my life. In the Eastern part of the USA where I live we have only the Ruby Throated Hummingbird with a few rare sitings of others. In the Central and Western parts of the USA their are other varieties.

I put a few very small Hummingbird feeders out about a week ago but haven't seen any Hummers yet so this is a shot from last Summer.

Hummingbirds are favorites of many. They are a unique challenge, almost insect like. Beautifull birds. You did a great job. I enjoy viewing it. Thanks for posting it.
