dirk, thanks for the suggestion! I appreciate that you took the time to think about my “attempt at painting.” Definitely your idea could work. I will give it a try when I return to Tokyo later this evening.I like the idea of that images. I would try to darken "the frame" (the room) as much as possible. I could imagine, that this would give an even better atmosphere, looking out of the winodow with the diagonal lines of the window supporting the curve of the street.
Dirk, I am back in Tokyo from my short excursion to a northern town not far away. I tried my best to try out your suggestion about darkening the frame (room), but I don’t think it turned out as good as you had imagined yourself. The minor edit was done on my iPhone 7. This is about the best software I have. Yes, old, free, default software is pretty much what I rely on. Sorry!I like the idea of that images. ootanaboot,Box Man, I believe dirk meant only darken the room you were standing in just enough to be a subtle background frame. The view outside the room is splendid and is fine as it was.

I tired several different combinations, but each time when I darkened the room invariably the city outside the frame would also, in corresponding fashion, grow darker to some degree. One day I will get my hands on some software like Lightroom.Yes, that was what I meant. But I am bad in post editing, so can not give a recommendation on how exactly to do it. I always try to avoid PP. I would in this case tried several times the same image with different exposures and see what looks the best. A lot faster then sitting afterwards 20 minutes on a PC to make it that way. I am am lazy...![]()
