Birmingham with K7

The "Ushi" in the last shot caught my attention and at first, I thought it was supposed to be "Sushi", and it took me a little while to figure it out.

Here are some from Today.

Thank you for looking . Sorry I seem unsociable. There is little time eg today to take photos then travel home then have dinner then watch Champions league then have shower then process pictures including send photos on whatsapp and write to them. There is no time to fit social media as well. I have the buzz and wish to keep the train going. Thanks for looking those that look. Street Photography is crazy and maybe not exactly skillfull but I love some of the results and know there is so much potential. The D700 has done good even though I am really a Pentax user really. The 85 on the Pentax is so heavy so is actually awkward for the way I shoot night shots but I will squeeze some Pentax shots in hopefully soon.

Oh and by the way . .. indeed from a better angle it says SUSHI . It is very fantastic shop to shoot but I often walk by because I would hate to frighten their customers. It is visually fantastic shop to shoot and looks amazing on some shots shown ages ago.

It helps to be able to read the Chinese characters, which do state “sushi” :)
Yes that would have helped. When I did a search online I came up with this "The Japanese word "牛" (ushi) means "bull" or "cow". " so I thought I understood what I was seeing. I always like to learn something new every day.

Here are some of today's shots.

Nice pictures, but maybe time to change the title of the thread to “Birmingham with Nikon D700”?
Or start a new one ? ;)

Hello PENTUP

Well the thread title is unfortunate affair. The D700 does night ok but actually contrary to what everyone says on the other forum my K1 AF did mostly just as capable when I did use it. The reason for the D700 is that the 105mm Nikon lens is a lot better for me to use than my Pentax 85mm because of the weight. I hold the camera one handed mostly. The D700 is a lot noisier sensor than perhaps we were told by LanceB and others and there is no IBS. The sound of the shutter is a loud crash too. I hate compact flash cards. The menu is a nightmare. I occasionally get home to find that I have by accident altered the SHOOTING code from RAW to TIFF and one day possibly jpeg. It is user error but it is also something I do not ever expect will happen to my Pentax cameras. The weather sealing looks none existent. I could go on.

Somehow I must admit though that the D700 has grown into a friend and certainly the 105mm used on it is a gem of a lens. I am also looking at canon. Their 135mm F2 to try out is a consideration. It is so cheap.

I am not going to start a new thread each time when I know that this way is better for me. The idea is that people in Birmingham can find the whole set of pictures under one title. There is a lot of interest polarized both love and hate the pictures. I may get a 55mm and use K3iii and try that too. Perhaps the 77mm on K1. There are Pentax ways to try out.
