Do you find that you re-edit images processed in the field when you get back to homebase?

Fixed by adding 0.33EV exposure and adjusting the masking -- and yes LRC's AI mask does seem to deal poorly with gaps like between the front 2 legs

Andy, fantastic capture. I also love your sequence in the youtube link. But she's not a young female. Definately a mature girl and quite big for a female. On just this photo (without the benefit of the sequence) I would have initially gone with young male or older female. Lightening of the nose pigmentation and broadness of the neck are fairly reliable indicators.

I go on what my Massai driver and guide told me - which is YOUNG in my book - he said 2-3 years old and so that works for me since I am unlikely going to date her. Mature in my book means over 4 and certainly having cubbed.

I tend to save almost all culling and editing for home. Once in awhile, when I KNOW I've just shot a bad one, I'll delete it in-camera, in the field.
This past weekend, I shot a swim meet and set the camera to record to both cards.
When I got home, I moved the contents of one card to a new folder in my hard drive. The other one will stay for now as a back-up.
I don't bring a computer with me in the field; just rely on that duplicate copy on the other card. (when I have it) Then at home, I spend the hours and hours needed.

Maybe it's just me but I never do any editing in the field. It's always done at home on a desktop. I also never take the time to delete any "bad" shots, that's for culling later. I very rarely do any editing on a laptop on the road. Unlike some here I need to sleep and there's just so many hours in the day :)

I'm on the road currently, not in the field, visiting relatives in another state. I am doing a ton of shooting but I'm downloading all content to SSDs to have saved copies of my work

But just for my own viewing pleasure, I'm copying the jpegs from each shoot and putting those folders on my laptop for easy access

If I didn't have the luxury of being at a house on this trip, I'd probably just leave everything on the memory cards and hope I don't lose any of them :)
