Logic be damned I bought an ND

Any EOS digital body can use the same lens adapters. Also I think they have Nikon adapters, too. I actually like the weight of the 1DsII - it helps minimize camera shake at slow shutter speeds.

What a blast. DJ bought me lunch at the Plaza, and we goofed around shooting outside afterwards.

He brought a bunch of prints, and I gotta tell ya, the web uploads do not do justice to DJ's 13X19 prints he made from his China Trip. UNBELIEVABLE !!!

I was using a split screen EC and shot wide open all the time. I did miss some shots that I wouldn't have with AF, but I just need to get use to the manual focus again.

Thanks Dirk for letting us upload Canon Digital shots with Zeiss/Contax glass attached.

Here's back at ya DJ ...

Remember this one I shot with your Zeiss 35/1.4 DJ ?

( Now maybe we better upload something other than two goofy photographers taking pix of each other ; -) I'll get something to the gallery ASAP.

Hi G. Ashton,

you have to follow the 3-steps guide at teh buttom of the e-mail. Otherwise it will not work. It is mandatory that you write between the two marking lines. Text outside of these lines, will never make it to the forum.

I wrote this text with reply by e-mail by the way. I love this feature, if Iam travelling and have no high speed internet connection available like in my last vacations

OK DJ and Mark, the next time you are in NY, please be sure to let us all know. I live very close by and am in the city all the time. This weekend, I was in Boston. Go figure! I missed all of your fun. Maybe next time...

Marc, nice pics, the one from the Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 looks awesome. How do you compare with the Canon 35 f/1.4 which you praised a a lot.

Hi Dirk,

Thanks for responding. Let me tell you what I have to do to reply via the reply button and you can tell me if this is the norm. When I click the "reply button I then have to remember to select the carots and everthing in between, then copy and paste onto a fresh, blank e-mail that comes up, then begin typing my response between the brackets. Since this is the only forum I am registered with I often forget to copy and paste and nothing is on the instructions that remind me to copy and paste. With a Mac I am accustomed to either begin typing or the drag and drop method neither if which works in this case. Perhaps this is why my e-mail responses are not getting through. I wonder where they all went, LOL. I hope this one gets through.

As you can see, Marc takes a better picture on either side of the camera

.

I uploaded some EOS / Zeiss stuff to the Contax gallery. It's too bad you really can't see the detail - it's awesome.

Here's a missed focus opportunity, but by end of day I was getting very used to the open-focus-close routine:

Wouldn't it be great to see shots from the 1dsII and the ND using similar lens setups? The above shots show brilliant colours and even the sharpness in these small images looks great.
