Post your nature and wildlife pictures 2

what kinds of Goldfinches do you have in your country? A friend told me that in his part of the US they have lesser goldfinches with more black than gold (something I didn't know!)

I think the Female Red-Winged blackbirds are really fun to photograph and I like their colors. The males are also more likely to dive bomb you when you walk through their territory - like this guy who wasn't happy about me walking through his area! :)

The Common blackbird never divebombs, not that I've heard of anyway, and we have lots of them here, so interesting yours actually does.

Our Goldfinch is a different species alltogether, beautiful birds though, very delicate.

I will participate... probably the only time... as I am not a "birder" -- but this guy (and maybe his friends?) will occasionally sit in a big Sequoia tree... in my driveway! They are kind of "shy" because, when I raise my camera (with a large tele lens) they usually fly away... so, a static shot. I had to remain very still/incognito. The EXIF is not coming across from my "host site" (DPR Galleries). LOL. I used to have Smugmug (free) and looked into re-starting that serivce or Flickr... but figured I might as well use what's already there. Maybe? Anyway... My apologies... I am trying to determine the best method for posting "linked" images... and I am seeing some inconsistencies on my end (i.e., post #48 not displayed). I'll get it figured out.

Hi 1971_M5, you can find some hints for posting images here.
Images directly uploaded to the forum have a limit of a maximum longest side of 1600px, and a maximum size of 1MB. If you attach something that exceeds those limits, it will be downscaled. If these limits suffice for what you want to show, it is better to pre-scale the image within those limits before you attach it, because then it will be inserted unmodified (no quality loss and full EXIF included). If you want to show an image at a higher resolution, you will need to link to an external photo site.
