I used to make and paint Airfix models of Spitfires, Hurricanes, Stukas and Messerschmitts as a lad.
The tall glass jars were Airfix own brand paints I think. Looks like now superseded http://www.airfixrailways.co.uk/Paint.htmYou're right. And I doubt myself they were in bottles now, they must have been in little tin pots.
