Actually, I went out anyway and have just been riding an icepack, lol.I'm the idiot that would roll and protect the camera with my fall. However, glad your hood protected your camera and you came away ok'ish. Hope you back recovers. Gotta love woodlands, I do.
Hey! Me too. About 10 years ago I tripped over a chain at the end of the road - in the dark and while walking at high speed. As I went down towards the pavement I raised my camera and tripod upward, increasing the downward velocity of my head, which struck the pavement hard enough to knock me out. Basically, I used my head to absorb the momentum to save the camera! It took a week for a slow bleed around the brain. Then I ended up in the ICU for 3 days & in rehab for a week. The camera was uninsured.I'm the idiot that would roll and protect the camera with my fall. However, glad your hood protected your camera and you came away ok'ish. Hope you back recovers. What goes on four legs in the morning, two legs in the afternoon, and three legs in the evening? ' The answer? Man, who crawls as a baby, walks on two legs as an adult, and uses a walking stick in his twilight years.
