I made a huge error actually with the settings on Friday. I change ISO now and again for example a window shot may be a lot brighter than street shot. I kind of do this walking along.
I had changed the settings on the camera to shoot TIFF by accident when I was changing ISO so 80% of the shots are TIFFS. One to watch out for. The lens is a fantastic thing so I would shoot TIFF just to use this lens !! if it came to it I guess.

I spent a whole day out shooting once and came home to find I just shot jpegs.
 
Well I hate the idea shooting TiFF Jpegs even though with street photography it is not exactly necessary very often.
I shot a couple a few days ago and the picture needed a mask really to brighten the 3 people from the background. Yes it can be done in jpeg Tiff but I see that as the wrong way to go about it. I sent them the picture on whatsapp here in the uk. I was glad I had the raw and that was just this week. Granted I am lazy about it and shoot raw always from laziness but it is time saving actually to stick to one method instead of adopting different methods. These things are subjective. This shot was brightened in raw which is the correct way to do it but one could ague the results look exactly the same in jpeg and then brightening. The raw has more data information to degrade less from brightening but yes will you notice ?? That depends on each picture.

Professionals shoot jpegs a lot or used to so they can't be that bad.

Shot just this week and brightened a lot in raw and masked sort of. I would rather do this in raw but yes it may not be exactly necessary very often.

Why not shoot Portrait and get full bodies in?
 
These are some shots from Friday. Rubbish grey day today so I never shot a thing. I was hoping for some landscapes or better described as local out door shots but it was too crap grey and horrible to even take one shot. So Friday last got these. Some are in colour . . shock horror.

D700 105mm. These are all from TIFF photos. So far no disasters so yes it has not ruined anything here.

Today was a special day or should have been. The clocks went forward over Easter break and this means an hour more sunshine after work which is both a plus and a Minus regards photos to take. It all looked horrible though after work. Drizzle Rain and grey. I was out shooting but had little optimism really.
The shots were a lot better than I expected. You may look and go " oh no they are always the same anyways " . I was expecting low average so was actually happy mostly.

The Pentax K7 with Samyang 135mm F2. I felt very out of practice but I did good mostly regards manually focussing at F2. I would have been slow reacting to bikes though whizzing past I am sure of that.

Here are today's with the Pentax again K7 with Samyang lens.
Eventful day in that TWICE i was talking to other photographers although they were not shooting.
I kind of tell them my secrets which feels like I am giving too much information away BUT anyone can see my strange choices that sees the pictures so it is daft to not tell them really.
The lady shoots Manchester which I have also done. The guy was a cinephotographer and has amazing videos he showed me which actually impressed me really powerfully because of the music. That would be amazing. To have a slide show with music but maybe it is a mistake also if the music confuses. It certainly worked on the video he showed me. So yes quite an evening that was different for that. There was still no sunshine but I just carried on. Pictures are I guess bang average Dino26323 Birmingham again.
