He just might have himself occupied on the hunt for some more wonderful images

Nice. A bunch of these had created a nest in the wall of my room last year, they had found a way in through the roof. Unlike wasps, bumblebees don't do any damage, so we left them alone. The only minor nuisance was a bit of strange noises at night. I did seal the hole they had used as entrance after they had left, because we wouldn't want wasps or hornets to be the next visitors…

Thanks, they are a marvelous species of bees, protected over here (and in Belgium as well afaik).

That was my wife's favorite also. She commented that the butterfly knew they were sitting on the right flower for the picture and waited until I could take the shot

I was using the old Nikkor QC 200mm f/4 that day and some of those old lenses do a beautiful job with colors

Back in 2008 during a long walk with the Canon 40D + 70-200L f/4 I saw a 'box' somewhere hanging high up in a tree and it wasnt until I reviewed the box on the back of the camera that I spotted some hungry little Kestrel chicks in it. Mom couldnt be far off I figured so I decided to wait a bit for her to show up, perhaps to get lucky enough capturing her in flight and perhaps even while carrying some load with her. Only having the 70-200mm with me wasnt the best of options but it was a very nice lens to shoot with and I'm glad I had it with me instead of having no lens there at all

If it wasnt for the 6fps 40D I would have never been able to see what she was doing during flight

Seems she was just balancing out the cargo but it wasnt until I got home til I figured that out

Unfortunately this was the last clear capture of the burst after which things got really blurry as the buffer filled up, slowing it all down to the level of photographic hopelessness, though I was happy with the images nevertheless
