Today with your Pentax

I took quite a few photos today with a couple of lenses I have been a little cool on lately. Both surprised me for the better this evening.

Dandelion by Jason Doss, on Flickr
Pentax K-1 mII Limited Silver and Pentax-M 35mm f2.0 at f2.0, 1/180s, and ISO 200 at closest focus distance
I had assessed this lens in the past as not being very good under these conditions. The white filaments on top of this dandelion seedhead are sharply rendered and they are off-center, so I've changed my assessment.

Poppy by Jason Doss, on Flickr
Pentax K-1 mII and Pentax-M 400mm f5.6 at f5.6, 1/1000s, and ISO 1600
Here's another lens I've had issues with wide open. It is difficult to focus due to thin DOF, but I nailed it a few times today so again my assessment has been changed. Both lenses require careful focusing and attention to proper exposure and technique.

Everyone is welcome to post photos taken in the recent past couple of days with your Pentax cameras and/or lenses adapted to mirrorless. Let's see how long we can keep this thread going!

And this is of course the main touristic attraction we flew 3400kms to see:

Yes they look great and the processing is fine on these examples.

Hello again . . Those are great shots. The second one is very good indeed. Fantastic and well worth taking the Pentax out with you today. Great and let's see what tomorrow may bring.
I own a Pentax 400mm F5.6 and results vary a lot with mine but that is part of the fun with it.

I got the same fellow here as the other dinner time. So here he is again taken dinner time today. Pentax K5 and 200mm F2.8 DA* onto the 1.4 converter.

Enjoying my newly acquired 43mm Ltd.

We're vacationing in my favourite Israeli town, beautiful Haifa. Spent an hour or so at the beach after meeting family and friends. As the lifeguards close their station and evening falls, night life is slowly starting up and restaurants are awaiting their first customers.

The KP is proving it is worth its weight in gold for being able to deliver crisp high-ISO shots with great detail and little noise. The 43mm Ltd. is quickly becoming my best friend!

Looks like you're having fun on your vacation. Your photos look super... colorful with lots of sharp detail.

The early bird catches the worm. Up early this morning due to the temperature shock - we came from ca. 12 degrees centigrade straight into 25 with high humidity. So a walk to the beach around 6:30 in the morning is an excellent way to start the day.

JCD, dogs and motor bikes get an automatic Like from me. :)
Even easier to hit the Like button when I actually like the picture, which, in this case, I do. I appreciate the wide angle effect.
