Today we're going to visit a medieval castle and I just decided to take three lenses with me: M20f4, M50f1.7, and M135f3.5. I usually only take two lenses, each attached to a camera, as switching lenses in the field is not something I like doing. Hopefully we get a shot or two worth sharing.

The castle turned out to be a bummer. We went and got close, but the crowds were unbelievable for a place out in the middle of nowhere. We never went inside because of the crowds and because we rented a car for not enough time.

Here's today's catch.

I knew it was going to be a bad day when I discovered that I left my SD card at home. Luckily, the other one was still in the slot. Then I discovered that I had my shake reduction set to 200 instead of 50 (again!). Turns out it didn't matter as this was the only picture I took the whole day. The first couple were blurred, no doubt due to miscalibrated shake reduction, but this one was sufficiently crisp enough to keep.

The odds were very low for you today with so few clicks but you succeeded none the less. It is a great shot to see. Thank you.

I may be shooting colour Spring Shots myself tomorrow. Let's hope we get something.

Yesterday we left our hotel near the beach and went up to the top of Mount Carmel in the central Moriah neighborhood. Got up early this morning for a brisk walk to the lookout point on the Louis Promenade which has views over Haifa port as well as the Bahai shrine and its gardens. The round building is the Tikotin Museum for Japanese Art and the old piano sits in the square opposite the Carmelit top station, Haifa's underground funicular railway which is the smalles subway line in the world.

Nice series, mikey!

We went to Mainz for the monthly trip to the hairdresser, so I tootled around the farmers' market while that was going on. I took quite a load of photos today. I uploaded 28, not my usual half-dozen or so.

Here's today's catch.

Later in the evening, the dog still needed his walk, so I put on a third lens for the day and off we went.

The lens is better than this photo shows. Nailing focus for a moving target is difficult!
