Today with your Pentax

Actually, I did wait on the guy and dog to enter the frame. I also tried to clone out the discarded paper bag on the right, but the artefacts it generated were worse than the bag. Oh well.

I say, post away with your non-Pentax shots. The original photo-a-day club I'm in that got me doing this in the first place isn't Pentax exclusive, despite being located at Pentax Forums. I'd be happy to see some of your images alongside ours.

Here's today's catch with a difficult pairing.

The foal you did post here looks great, although I see the weather was crappy. I'll head over to the other thread momentarily to see the rest of them. Of course, you could always cut/paste them into a new message in this thread if you want. It is a shame Dirk won't trust members to edit their mistakes.

Here's yesterday's catch.

These are fantastic. Love them actually.

Best of luck to you Dino26323

Here's today's catch.

Purple on Yellow by Jason Doss, on Flickr
Pentax K-1 mII Limited Silver and Pentax-A* 200mm f4.0 Macro ED at f16, 1/350s, and ISO 280
I was going for the purple flower contrast on the yellow leaves. I didn't see the bee while shooting.

The Neighbor's Allium by Jason Doss, on Flickr
Pentax K-1 mII and Pentax-K 500mm f4.5 at f16, 1/1000s, and ISO 1600
I used a monopod for this shot, but I think a monopod isn't going to work as well as I'd hoped for this huge lens. I'm going to need a strong and tall tripod.

Hi again. Some great flower shots recently. Very good ideas.
Hope we see some pictures from Pentax shooters tomorrow here.

Yes, all Pentaxians are welcome to post today or yesterday shots in this thread. This isn't the JCDoss show. If it is, you paid too much.

Hi Jason.
There is traffic so keep them coming. Your flower shots particularly have been really good but also it is really nice that there is a mixture of things and you never quite know what is going to appear next. It is tough to do it everyday so you are doing well. I normally would not have photos every weekday like I have done. I normally do not take my camera to work, well, at least not my top cameras ( K7 K5 so far from my collection ! ) and heavy lenses on.
Keep them coming I say so long as you are still happy shooting. Once it gets in the way too much we can take a day off. I might not bother again if the light is rubbish because I am not excited to do it when the light is rubbish in the city. It is getting harder and harder for me to capture late evening sunshine because the sun is going down very late. 5 shots perhaps helps on a bad day because I can often fiddle it to show 5 shots or less. If the light is bad I perhaps need to post just one shot just to keep the show on the road.

Enjoy your weekend and fingers crossed i have something to post later maybe Spring shots at Sutton Park perhaps. You have set the bar high though for flower shots just lately.

Thanks a lot for your kind words, Dino. I am having a great time shooting every day, and I hope to turn what started as a monthly daily challenge into a 365 challenge. So far, I haven't missed a day in 2023, and I think my streak extends back to July 2022. It's kept me sane since we moved here, and given me something creative to do. Your images are also quite good and I especially like the ones with people in crosswalks. You're doing well with 300mm, a focal length I wouldn't have thought to be this good for street. I think you're brave to take photos of so many people like that... I am getting better but still nowhere near your level of courage.

If you're shooting daily or almost daily, you can check out the Daily-In Challenge at Pentax Forums which is what got me started. The group is great and supportive, and we comment on each other's images, usually at Flickr.

We went out early to do our shopping, and I got my requisite photos already so am posting early. I might add more later because we have plans to take the dog to the Rhine. I'll probably switch lenses too, but I'm not sure if I'll take both cameras or just one. Normally, I randomly select two lenses from my collection, mount one on each K-1 mII and go, but when I get time to go twice, I usually get the urge to select another set of lenses for the second trip.

Anyway, here's today's catch (so far)...
