No sweat. Keep shooting. That's a good thing! I will too. I'm not "social media" nor am I a troll. I was not offering any advice. I simply mentioned the shots that I liked from your recent outings (as I have done before on a couple of occasions in this thread). My remark about "landscape/f11/DOF" was a disparaging shot at ME (not you). Going forward, I'll just keep my thoughts to myself -- it's probably better that way.
Np . . you were ok. You do not sound like a troll. You worded yourself ok. Thank you for looking and I hope to do better so it is worth your while. Luck is needed. Much Luck.

Here are some from Yesterday with D700 105mm F1.4. I actually messed up a lot of photos with bad use of the AF. You have to take care to give it a chance. It is dark after all.

Here are more D700 105mm. A lot of mistakes were made Saturday so I am practicing with the AF again. Today was much more consistent even though you might not know it from the 5 images I am posting here. You have to give it love and coax it sometimes. Pre focus works well but then you have to guess right the distance. If there is not enough contrast then it can be off and also it likes to start from a way off position to begin with I believe.

Well true. That is likely true. What you are seeing is my exploration of Street Photography. Learning as I go. So yes it is kind of a record of each day's winner shots and mostly desperation shots that may be should not be posted.
I have no idea whether they are much good really and your opinion is that they are bad mostly.
What I will say is that how do i know which ones I should post? If I am to post 2 out of 100 how am I supposed to know which ones you like. It is not obvious to me since I like them all.

Sorry but you will have to look through 100 shots each time to find 2 good ones or on a bad month perhaps 300 shots to find 2 good ones.

Street photography is interesting to shoot and really incredible to see the results. I have no idea what I have captured at all really until I see them. I have thousands over the years that I know are rubbish but I still enjoy looking through them even though I know full well they are just shots very ordinary. I hardly delete any at all because I believe I learn from dashing through them again and again occasionally Rapid and stopping on just occasional shots.
I love bokeh sometimes how it looks on my shots so I often over rate those kind of shots just because I love how the camera has made the scene magical but really there is nothing of substance in most of those. I know already.
The whole thing is I guess arrogant and self indulgent exercise in Street Photography. I like all the shots I post and fortunately for you it is only 5 a day otherwise you would find it even more laborious.

This web site is fantastic so you can look quickly through and move on to something else. Some of the comments made pick out different shots than my favourites so every person that likes 2 shots in 100 may like a different 2 shots than you picked.

The Nikon 105mm is wow an amazing lens. I love the results of the bokeh at times BUT those shots may just be very average really. I love seeing them though especially in black and white.

Very much like your photography your verbiage is as one might say ‘somewhat over the top’… Ok, you love the 105mm lens, your excel in multi ‘street images’.. one has to admire your inability to either decide on ‘good, bad, or iffy’ shots. in the days of film, you would have gone bust in a month! Luckily digital came to your rescue! None of us are buying your work, you as the photographer should be vetting and finally deciding on which images to show! Not throwing them all on the table and asking others to choose.
Rejection is hard, but, over the years one learns how to learn from rejection. I challenge you to show just 2 images per day and see how they received, viewed and appreciate.
I lived and worked in Birmingham during the 80’s.. A very exciting city….

Well . .

Sorry Leica eye 2 I have 5 shots . I cannot choose and I ask that you do not choose either because you do not know which ones are the best shots for every viewer that looks at the pictures. Nikon D700 and 105mm again.

Digital saved me indeed. There is no way I could have shot street photos this good with film. Too expensive and you need to shoot 100s a day in order to learn but mostly GET LUCKY SHOTS.
