Also important is the fact there's now a horizon straightening tool and a crop tool in ACR. I recently did a wedding with 400 images and only had to open a dozen of them in regular photoshop for further corrections.
I was able to process any number of similar RAW images at the same time by using a menu that allows you to select what function gets applied to all of the selected images. While still there you can then select individual RAW images to apply other corrections, then hit "select all" and save to a separate file in any file format you want including Tiff, Jpg, or even DNG.
Incredible leap forward in quality and speed. The best processing/editorial tool out there now IMO.
