Regards thanks for looking.

I guess I was a little flippant when I said I'd get a Z8, because I fully expect that we'll be seeing a K-1iii within a couple years. Both my K-1ii cameras are under 10k clicks and have held up excellently under my careful use, and I expect both to last longer than me. So in reality, I probably will never have cause to upgrade. But I'll still get a K-1iii just because it's a Pentax. The Z8 would be a consolation prize, in my case, only if both of my K-1iis fail and no K-1iii appears, which is extremely unlikely.

Still visiting relatives, the dog and I got a chance to sneak away down to the creek. He got in the water, but not before I got a shot of this handsome fellow.

You blew the chance for an automatic "LIke." Frogs don't get one, but if the dog was anywhere in the picture, a "Like" would be there. Probably complicated to arrange... so there is that.

Haha and all, hope you are enjoying your visit back in the States.

I was a tourist in the town I grew up in today, at least for about an hour because the town is pretty small. Here's the county courthouse from almost right underneath it. I've been shooting in RAW+JPG since landing in the US, using the new Gold profile, and I quite like it.

One more for today. This is a statue of the second most famous person to come from this town. The first most famous, of course, is me, but Annie Oakley is almost as well known. I shoot almost as well as she did, but since I'm using a Pentax, nobody really pays any attention.

We drove from Ohio to Kansas City on June 27. Wesley and I stopped for gas, snacks, and to visit the world's largest rocking chair and mailbox, among other very large things, in Casey, Illinois.

June 28th was our heavy travel day. We took an Amtrak train from Kansas City to Chicago and a flight from Chicago to Frankfurt. We had a few hour layover in downtown Chicago where I took this photo. You can see the haze heavy in the air from the Canadian wildfires.
