DPR has removed the closing down warning

There is no credibility anymore. Trust has to be earned. I do not judge people by what they say, I judge them by what they do. ;)
I agree. The situation with DPR is embarrassing the longer it goes on like this. I doubt that they've ever cared about the forums given the way they allowed them to become the "wild west". If any other entity is considering purchasing DPR they would only be interested in the content/articles/tests.
 
The forums there have gotten better and much more friendly since the closure was announced.

This is because all these trolls and unfriendly users of dpreview are now posting somewhere else ;)
 
It might well be getting sold off. When Richard Butler was asked if there were new updates, he just said ..... stay tuned. Besides Jordan and Chris the rest of the staff is still in Seattle. Time will tell I guess.
I think, but not sure, I have zero solid proof, but i think that's two they want to be rid, for reason I don't know for sure, along with others. They wanted to cut cost and staff. People left, it got the desired effects.
