Today with your Pentax

Well you surprised us at least. You keep them coming Jason. I like. ;) and I like this forum.

This forum is much better if you could see everyone's gallery over on here I think. The design but mostly it seems it could be way more convenient than over on the old site where looking at galleries is completely " long winded " process at least for me. I want to build a gallery here at some point. I am sure it is much better system. We will find out.

Excellent kookaburra series! Are they difficult to photograph? Are they hyperactive, or do they tend to be slower? I like the second series with the Sigma a little more. The photos seem brighter with a bit more detail, and definitely the bird is larger in the frame. :D

Dino, I like your latest color image. The splash of bright green grass in the lower right is nice. However, it needs to be pointed out that even though your photo is in color, your subject goose is black and white. Oh well. :daumenhoch:

Thanks Jason, Kookaburras can be quite relaxed, up to a certain distance. They are fairly big birds and confident. These two were actually being buzzed by dive-bombing red wattle birds (that were probably nesting nearby), but far to swift for me to ever get in frame long enough for a photo interacting with the Kookaburras.

kookaburra . . what the hell is that . . oh it is a that . One of those I see now.

These are Great PENTUP. The 300mm shots are great too especially the ones with great bokeh background and blue sky taken with the 300mm. I am a sucker for the diffused light across him as welll. Those two shots are topping of the series but yes your Sigma works well enough we can see and looks to be great enough for you when we all know when you are so desperate for a new lens instead that is a modern lens.
Your thread is still lively on the other town ( Pentax Lens Road Map. ) Some really wild fuming posts on that thread. The theories that they bring out. Doom. The end of the full frame system soon ( Tamron 24 to 70 lenses will run out soon ) and that for Ricoh full frame was a mistake. There are some funny folks around. Comedy. Complete comedy in my opinion ;)

The Ricoh interview they have said they want to do things that separate themselves from other brands. The K3 iii really needs a wildlife lens for it longer than 450mm and with the 560mm now out of production then will you see something. It could be a long long wait though and even then it may not have the short end 50 that you crave.

Great photos though PENTUP.
